Fusion Festivity

Festivals symbolize unity and celebration.

You don’t need to be an Indian or a bengali in specific to taste the flavour of Durga Puja. Be as you are and wear as you want-the goddess will surely make your celebration a moment to remember 😊. For me Durga Puja means dressing up , food, friends and homecoming. I have already shared with you guys my way of welcoming the goddess in a green avatar. For the peak moment of the festival, that is commonly termed as Mahashtami, I decided to go for something which can fuse the taste of a boho Indian with the good old classy European. When all the girls in the town was heavily decked up in zardosi sarees, I kept it rather simple with my Boho shirt and black denims. My jewellery, hairdo and makeup were the key focus for the day giving me the perfect dose of pomp. πŸ’„

The boho shirt and the black jeans have been picked up from Shoppers Stop. It was gifted by my parents on the occasion of Durga Puja. The best thing about the shirt was the color and the Indo-Western fusion. It is the perfect boho shirt to chill out on the beaches on a hot summer afternoon and at the samd time can be your best friend for a casual family gathering. The jeans are a pair of sweethearts and I have never had any grudge towards a black jeans. 😊

Since the dress was pretty simple for a festive occasion, I increased the heaviness of my look with the statement neckpiece, shoes, makeup and hairdo. The neckpiece from shopnineteen was a stunner. The golden half moon patterns on the neck added the correct glitz to my boho shirt. It was a very hot day, so I tied up my hair in a very loose bun, dangling on my neck. I knotted it and used some bobby pins to fix it. I made it a casual and messy bun, so pulled out some hair on the sides to give the messy feel. For the lips, I chose my light orange lip color from Elle 18. The face was kept plain with only some CC cream to make it look clean. The Kajal was a bit light for me that day, since it was too humid and I hate lot of kajal on a humid day. I completed the whole look with the blue cross-strapped heels and red hand bag. πŸ‘

I hope you love this fusion attire and would try it. Do feel free to ask me for any styling tips. 😘
