Dainty Wedding Diaries #2

Getting that D-Day Glow:

Getting that D-Day glow on the face is too important for any bride and I am not an exception in this case. Those three days gonna be very hectic and I will be almost bathed in layers of makeup. So, it’s very important for me to keep my skin clear and healthy before the marriage to avoid those stubborn breakouts.

I am already having an acne prone skin and I am very fussy about using any face pack and scrubber on my face. I generally use my Doctor suggested face wash and face scrub. However, to get that wedding glow homemade treatments are a must. It’s very difficult to maintain the treatment in the midst of my busy daily schedule, but I try to maintain it at least once or twice a week.

Starting off with a homemade facial scrub:

To get a beautiful glow, the skin must be clear and so I have started off with a homemade facial scrub. The ingredients are very simple and they are always available in your kitchen.

Take three tea spoons of lemon juice, one table spoon of oatmeal and one table spoon of sugar. Mix it and make sure the sugar granules are not melted completely. Apply the mixture on the face and leave it for 4-5 minutes. Dampen your face and slowly start massaging the skin in circular motion. Exfoliate the T-zone, cheeks and under eyes. Then rinse off the scrub and pat dry your face with a towel. I generally don’t apply face wash immediately after applying this scrub and simply clean it off with cold water. Apply some moisturizer or if you have a very sensitive skin like me, then simply massage with Lacto calamine.

That’s all for today! I will come back again with my wedding diaries on Monday.

To all the bride-t0-be(s) –

Stay healthy and beautiful  and enjoy your day to the fullest. After all it’s once in a lifetime. 🙂
