I know I am not on my regular schedule to post the blog. But you can’t help it when it is your birthday and Durga Puja at the same time. 🙂 Well, the title of this post could also be the Festive look OOTD, but just to keep my series going I followed the convention.
When the wedding spirits are in the air during the Durga Puja festivities amidst the birthday pomp, nothing can beat the nine yards of awesomeness. I bought this beautiful black chiffon saree from Kolkata some four years back. Though it has a matching blouse, I love wearing this sari with my golden brocade sleevless blouse. This can be a perfect pre-bridal wedding shoot outfit if you’re planning to go indian. Even for the days before the wedding, when you’ll be surrounded by your BFFs to click selfies, this sari can actually make your photos look prettier than ever.
Accessorising it –
Usually, whenever we think of sari, we feel jewellery should be very heavy. But being a jewellery-phobic, I tweaked the rule book to make way for a simple pretty half moon shaped golden ear-rings from Pipa and Bella. No neckpiece, no bangles – I have kept it as much simple as I could.
Beauty and blushes!
To complement my no jewellery look, I went for some red pop on the lips with some coral eye shadow on the eyes. A sari look can never be complete without the winged liner and I am an ardent follower of this. 🙂
Summing it up
A potli or a golden clutch would have actually accentuated this look, but I couldn’t find one in the hustle-bustle of the festivities. So I settled myself with my regular denim purse from Baggit. The casualness of the bag adds a little dose of boho spirit to the look.
Pin this look for your next pre wedding functions or if you’re looking to update your closet with some serious ethnic stuff for Diwali, then this can be your go-to look too. 🙂
